Reviews and Ratings

Alex & Priya - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Alex: Fully mature wine here, a rare treat in these parts....and a pleasing drop indeed. It's very ripe, with added loamy forest floor and soy sauce notes amongst the dried, raisinated blackberry and fig fruit. Remarkably on day 2 the last glass is the best, with pronounced aromatic intensity by then. The alcohol does show up on the palate, but its edges have rounded, and it's now smooth and velvety. A good wine that's ready to drink, reflective of the region, and reasonably priced. A buy. 89 pts
Produced by J. & F. Lurton, this southern French red wine comes from the 2004 vintage and thus displays mature aromas, and is no longer fruit forward. The region of Fitou is tiny and surrounded by the much larger district of Corbières. It experiences extremely dry, hot summers which result in deep ripening of the grapes. There was little rain in 2004. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
