Vintages Wine Panel: Although this château dates back as far as the 12th century, its Beaujolais is as fresh as it is fruity. Lovely aromas and flavours of caramel, red plum, raspberry and cherry spice make this balanced, medium-bodied red a delight for the palate. A must-savour. My note: Sweet cherry fruit that would be amazing with turkey and game birds. Silky, medium-bodied and yet richly satisfying. A terrific wine for the money.

Gamay food pairings: soft French cheeses like Reblochon or Abbaye de Tamié, game bird, chicken.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
