Full-bodied and restrained for the Madiran, usually the home of enamel-peeling reds. Doesn't even taste like 14% alcohol. Perfect Pasta and Tomato Sauce Wine

Andrew Bernardo Wine Journal rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

I expect more power and structure from my Madiran. The great wines from Osmin and Peyros come to mind. This wine lacks a sense of place. However, it is a beautiful drinking wine, with loads of black fruit and sweet earth. This wine can be paired with pretty much anything and do well. And for these reasons, I'm 88 on this wine. This robust red is a blend of 70% tannat and 30% cabernet sauvignon grapes that was partially barrel aged. Source: Winery
