Reviews and Ratings

Community Reviewer rated this wine as 87/100
This is a 2014 toasty chardonnay from Chateau Canet in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. It is a medium weighted white wine from vines that grew in chalky soil. The aromas are a lovely blend of citrus and nutmeg. On the palate we enjoy smoke, white fruit and spice. Try it. See what you think of it. About one-third of this french Chardonnay was fermented and aged in oak barrels; the remainder in stainless steel tanks to perserve fruit freshness. The vines are planted at high altitudes of 300 metres above sea level in limestone soils, which perserves their freshness and balancing acidity. This wine won a Gold medal at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris wine competition.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
