Natalie's Score: 87/100Cedary and tart with black fruit and lots of oak. Short finish but an incredible price for everyday Bordeaux. Decant 2 hours and pair with a juicy steak.
Food pairings: steak. Best Beef Wine

Silver Medal Millesime Challenge 2013 80% Merlot 20% Cab Franc. Medium++ body with lush fruit. Rich ruby colour and a hefty 14% alcohol. Grapes are grown sans chemicals, pesticides or herbicides.
Dark cherry, plum, herbs, oak and wet cedar. Palate hands out mild tannins and some heat. Not an overly long finish. Good value for Bordeaux enthusiasts at $16.95. Drink now. Decant 1 hour or more.
Bottle label suggests drink with Mediterranean dishes, game, red meat, cheeses. I'm going with medium-rare grilled steak and potats au gratin.
|Silver Medal winner at the 2013 Challenge Millésime Bio Awards. A layered and intricate nose of blueberry, black fruit, mineral, mint, cedar and violets. The complexity is well reflected in the mouth. Excellent notes of savoury black fruit. Superb balance and integration of fruit, tannin and alcohol. Tasty and impressive from beginning to end.
