Natalie's Score: 88/100

Rustic and robust, with attractive cedar brush and wild tart blackberry and cassis on the nose and palate. This well-priced French red wine comes to us via Philip Grant, Propriétaire. The wine is mostly made from the Negrette grape and offers lip-smacking delicious flavours of dark fruit and smoke. Decant 1 hours and try it with a juicy slab of prime rib tonight.

Food pairings: winter stew, rare cuts of meat, Olivier salad.

Reviews and Ratings

From Fronton in the Southwest of France. Château Bellevue La Forêt (2013) is a well-priced French red wine blend of Negrette, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is produced by proprietor, Philip Grant. Great price for this robust, muscular and meaty wine. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
