Black fleshy plums with a good grip, like a friend that grabs you by the forearm and tells you the truth. The grapes for this wine are fermented in small lots and the wine is barrel aged for 12 months. True Andean terroir.

Bonarda food pairings: pulled pork sammies, grilled meats in a black bean sauce.

Bonarda is often overshadowed by Malbec as the reading red wine grape of Argentina. But Bonarda deserves your attention. Lots of black fruit and mocha here. - Community Wine reviews
