Reviews and Ratings

Purple plum liqueur and blueberry jam on the nose and palate of this full-bodied, relatively smooth southern French red wine. Finishes with more sweet berry fruit. Pair with sweet ribs. MINE: This is your turkey and ham wine from the Languedoc in the Midi wine region. Cave Les Vins De Roquebrun, La Grange Des Combes (2014) has a light plum and blueberry jam nose and is smooth with sweet berry fruit on the palate. Grape vines for this 20% Mourvèdre, 50% Syrah and 30% Grenache wine blend were grown in schistous soils with a south-south-east exposure. Whole bunches of grapes underwent maceration and the wine was aged in stainless steel tanks -- very fresh. OTHER: A muscular but polished red, with brooding blackberry pie, dark cherry and roasted plum notes complemented by iron, peppercorn and licorice details. Full but not overpowering tannins linger on the savory, herbtinged finish. Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2022. Ranked #57 in the 2016 Wine Spectator Top 100. Score - 91 (Gillian Sciaretta, winespectator.com, Nov. 15, 2016). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Eric Asimov, The New York Times

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
