Vintages Wine Panel: This New World Shiraz gives a generous tip of the hat to the Rhône style. Filled with blackberry, black pepper and new leather nuances, this is a terrific value. My note: dependably delicious year after year with ripe plums and blackberries. Full-bodied and smooth. Wonderful price.

Shiraz food pairings: beef stews, pastas, beef, lamb.

Reviews and Ratings

Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

This is a heavy duty Shiraz. Big and heavy in the mouth, I prefer this wine with food, like steak. Like many South African wines I found it earthy, with flavors of blackberry and lots and lots of oak.

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
