Full-bodied with a lovely length and persistent dark berry flavours. A river of pleasure in this full-bodied, generous red. Perfect for so many dishes, from Italian fare to roast beef. Decants for 2 hours.

Reviews and Ratings

Gabriel Israel reviewed this wine as follows:

Tried this wine first time because of its name (almost like mine... :) ). Their 1999 vintage was the one I fell in love with. Had in Tuscany. A very nice clean Chianti, that goes very well by itself of with a slightly Italian spicy sausage. Usually can be cellared for 3-5 years. 2007 like 2006 a very good vintage for Chianties and Brunellos.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
