Natalie's Score: 91/100

A superb, rich, complex Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon made from vines grown in the Maipo Valley that are cropped for low yields at 3.6 tons per acre. This results in rich, deep flavour. After a 5-day maceration, the wine was put into a mixture of new and second-used French oak barrels for 14 months. Aromas of dark fruit, pencil led, cassis and smoke. Pair with grilled meats.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: rare herbed steaks.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

A luxurious hand-harvested Cab Sauv with aromatic cassis, strawberry, blueberry and mint on the nose. The jammy palate repeats, with slight herbal touches and dark chocolate. Lovely satiny texture and elegant finish. Aged in French oak 14 mos.
Tasted Sept. 2016
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Wonderful taste, texture, layers, structure and great balance. This wine is an approachable Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon at a great price point. Offering ripe red and black berry, spice, leather, graphite minerality and a hint of cassis. The 2014 vintage is tasting great. Pair with BBQ red meats or braised beef. Tasted March 2017. 90 points.
Cora Beaulieu rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Opaque ruby red in color. On the nose, this wine exhibits notes of plum, rose pedals, sweet blackcurrant, dark chocolate, espresso bean, spearmint, and cedar. In the mouth this wine is fresh. Excellent balance of tannin, acid, and fruit. Complex layers of blackberry, black cherry, and cedar. The finish is smooth, long, and textured. Excellent everyday drinking Cab. [Tasted Mar/2017]
Philippe Perreault - Sommelier rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Deep purple color.

Aromas of spice, grass, black pepper, coffee and bleuberry.

This wine is almost complex, full bodied and long.

Can be aged several years.

Serve it at 15-17 degrees.

Pair it with red meet.
