Dark chocolate and mocha aromas on the nose with fleshy ripe blackberry notes. Lovely toasty oak on the finish. Medium- to full-bodied. Supple and smooth but packed with flavour, just as a Primitivo (aka Zinfandel) grape-based wine should be.

Primitivo food pairings: grilled steak with mushrooms and onions, coq au vin, Cornish game hen, bruschetta.

Layered and complex on the nose with aromas of leather, tobacco, anise, coffee, spice and red fruit. Big fruit intensity keeps pace with the tobacco and leather on the palate. Smooth and long, this will be a hit. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, Feb. 2013
