Reviews and Ratings

Trevor Sabourin - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Not super complex, but delicious and extremely refreshing. Vibrant, pale ruby color. Subdued aromas of ripe cherry and strawberry, with delicate hints of forest floor, minerality, and biscuit. Offers more complexity on the palate, with tart red fruit, MacIntosh apple, lime, biscuit, clove, and minerality. Bone-dry, with piercing acidity. Zesty, lip-smacking. Great with pizza. A great option when you want something cold (probably best around 8 Celsius) and refreshing that can stand up to pizza and pasta dishes.
Nicole Lewis rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Remarkable red colour - Clear, dark ruby - with fine bubbles, this Lambrusco, that we don't often see at the LCBO. The nose is a lovely endearing combination of ripe cherry, cranberry and drying tobacco. In the mouth the wine is medium bodied, very dry and cranberry-crab apple tart with a hint of Madeira as well. It has a palate-cleansing, medium length finish.
This wine would pair well with tomato-based dishes.
This Italian sparkling wine Omaggio a Gino Friedmann 2013 is very grapes and acidic. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
