Toasted almond and spicy pear on the nose and palate of this pleasant full-bodied BC white wine made from Chardonnay grapes. Aromas of green apple and freshly baked bread. Good minerality on the finish. Pair with roast chicken.

Chardonnay food pairings: deep sea scallops, pan-fried cod, pasta in an Alfredo sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Burrowing Owl produces world-class wines from their picturesque winery located in the heart of Canada's wine capital, Oliver, British Columbia. Their Chardonnay is sourced from their estate vineyards nestled beside their winery and the famous Sonora Room Restaurant. Fresh with great acidity and fruit characteristics, their Chardonnay is simply delicious and rewards short term cellaring as it evolves and transforms into a even more intriguing wine. Highly recommend. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
From the Okanagan Valley, this is a full-bodied B.C. Chardonnay white wine with aromas of green apple, sweet cake spice and a buttered toast finish on the palate. Pair with roast chicken. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
