Burrowing Owl Estate Winery Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 5, February 26, September 11 and July 26.
Burrowing Owl Estate Winery Cabernet Sauvignon 2009 Wine Review
Beautifully structured and elegant, yet there's an underlying pent-up power and concentration. Dark fruit aromas and some smoke on a long, satisfying finish. Perfect for dinner parties. 4.6/5 Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled striploin or roasted game birds.

|The fruit was harvested by hand in October 2009 from Burrowing Owl Vineyards off Black Sage Road in Oliver, B.C. The fruit was|
fermented at warm temperatures and held on skins for about 3 weeks before pressing off. The wine was then transferred into
French oak barrels for aging. The wine was racked periodically and aged for 20 months in barrels: 14 months in 100% new French oak
barrels, 6 months in older, neutral barrels.
