Reviews and Ratings

Philippe Perreault - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

There's a little story behind this winery from Virginia.
This winery is owned by John Kent Cooke, a former owner and president of the NFL Washington Redskins

This wine is a blend of 56% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Petit Verdot.

Deep garnet color.

Aromas of flower, graphite, wild cherry, spice and oak.

The wine is smooth, complex and long.

Pair it with a deer steak with Grand Veneur Sauce.

Serve it at 15-17 degrees.

Ready to drink but can be aged 5-7 years.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
