Beautifully tart black cherries on the nose and palate with a satin seductive texture. Medium-bodied with layers of complexity and a long finish. This is benchmark Old World pinot noir, especially from Gevrey-Chambertin AC. Enjoy it with planked salmon or roast turkey tonight.

Melissa Pulvermacher WSET rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

The aroma was reminiscent of Burgundian terroir. The earthy, ripe cherry and wet rose aroma was alluring with an oily and spicy meat characteristic on the palate. The balance is phenomenal with delicate tannin and great acidity. This wine pairs flawlessly with duck cooked in ginger sauce. The finish is quite green, but not as long as I had hoped for. Dried herbs and violets on the nose with polished tannins on the palate. Great length and bouquet. Bouchard Pere & Fils have been making wine in Burgundy since 1731. Source: Winery

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
