Blasted Church Vineyards Pinot Noir 2008
Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 5, February 26, September 11 and July 26.
Blasted Church Vineyards Pinot Noir 2008 Wine Review
Black cherry and beetroot lead in this full-bodied, satin-smooth, lovely pinot. There are also some earthy notes in the background. This wine was pressed into 100% French oak, 50% new barrels. It was bottled unfiltered so you get all that good flavour and stuffing! 4.4/5 Pinot Noir food pairings: roast duck with cherry glaze, grilled salmon.
