Berton Vineyards Viognier 2009 Wine Review
Natalie's Score: 90/100Vintages Wine Panel: Berton Vineyards’ ‘Black & White’ tier features just two wines, The Black Shiraz and The White Viognier. Viognier is making a name for itself in Australia, and it’s easy to see why. This attractive version features the variety’s typical apricot, peach, tropical fruit and floral aromas. Dry, full-bodied and smooth with juicy stone and tropical fruit flavours. An excellent value. My note: Such a pretty wine: stunning aromas of white floral, light spices, lychee, rose petals and spring rain. Perfect for Asian dishes.
Viognier food pairings: mildly spicy dishes, creamy pasta primavera.
