Big oaky nose that supported by terrific fleshy ripe, juicy black fruit on the palate. Fantastic for the money. Full-bodied and delicious.

Reviews and Ratings

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A wine that's big and bold without being "over the top". Aromas of dark cherry, vanilla, and blackberry, as well, as dark chocolate, backing spices , and tobacco, with a taste that's primarily cherry and cranberry. A very smooth mouth feel without any noticeable tannins. Enjoy this right away with burgers or stews.
A spicy rich nose packed with expansive oak. This is a very attractive wine, and a real joy to find in this class. The palate is dominated by mouth filling red and black fruits, and the finish is balanced, long and stylish. Score: Silver Medal. Source: International Wine & Spirit Competition

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
