Mocha and blackberry mingle seductively on the nose of this full-bodied, supple cabernet. Should cellar well too.

60% new oak; mostly from St. Helena and Howell Mountain fruit: Dark ruby-red. Ripe, fresh aromas of blueberry, cassis, minerals and herbs. Plush and sweet but youthfully restrained, with a velvety texture to the dark fruit and dark chocolate flavors. Distinctly tight today but the finish is smooth, offering dusty tannins, good lift and a lingering element of baking spices. Score: 90 Source: Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar
