Benjamin Bridge Taurus Marechal Foch 2007
Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 5, February 26, September 11 and July 26.
Benjamin Bridge Taurus Marechal Foch 2007 Wine Review
Robust and full-bodied with dark chocolate and mocha aromas on the nose. Lots of oak with black smoky fruit, cloves and dark spices on the finish. Reminds me somewhat of baco noir. 4.3/5 Marechal Foch food pairings: grilled steaks, roast chicken, loin of pork, traditional pasta dishes or on its own..

|Profound, opaque, nightly red color with a purple hue. On the nose, the wine displays a combination of clove, nutmeg, white pepper, earth, saddle leather and pipe tobacco. On the palate, the wine coveys a silky elegance that contrasts the high extraction level. Accentuated notes of blackcurrant, wild blueberries and smoke can also be found in this rich, versatile red.|
