A gorgeous red, especially for fans of the cult favourite E&E Black Pepper Shiraz, its parent. Love the layers of dark fruit flavour here. Savoury, juicy goodness through and through.

Think of a northern Rhône version of Syrah, but slathered with plenty of fruit. Black pepper, bacon fat and woodsmoke are here, but so are ripe blackberry, boysenberry, rich plum and chocolate. Dry with lots of fruit, but also fine, firm tannins and zippy acidity. Full-bodied, long-finishing and maturing wine that calls out for saucy meat dishes, chilli or a slow-cooked herb-encrusted roast beef. Source: Vintages Wine Panel
