Baron Phillippe De Rothschild Viognier 2010
Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 5, February 26, September 11 and July 26.
Baron Phillippe De Rothschild Viognier 2010 Wine Review
Incredible taste and quality for the price! Lovely floral and lychee aromas and some light spices on the finish. A terrific wine for spicy dishes and curries. 4.4/5 Viognier food pairings: TARRAGON CHICKEN, SHELLFISH SALAD, SPAGHETTI AL PESTO, FRESH GOAT'S CHEESE.

|Colour: Bright golden yellow. Nose: On airing the nose reveals dried apricot and pear liqueur aromas typical of the Viognier grape. Palate: Ripe yellow fruit flavours, especially quince, are immediately in evidence. All the freshness and balance of the wine are revealed on the mid-palate, which builds to a long, fruity finish.
