The much-respected Alsatian winery Cave de Beblenheim has been making wine for more than 50 years. This vibrant white wine is made from 100% Pinot Gris grapes. It offers notes of tropical tree fruit, apricots, peach blossom and honeysuckle. The sweetness is balanced and add a mouth-filling voluptuousness to this wine. It finishes with quince and floral notes. Try it with Asian dishes and mild to medium curries or mushroom risotto.

Pinot Gris food pairings: mild curries, pad Thai, veal in white wine sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Luc Delorme rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

The light gold colour provides a good introduction for the apricot, honrysuckle and lychee aromas that greet the taster. With a bit of acidity on the palate, this Pinot Gris hase some light lemon flavours to accompany the apricot bouquet. Light-bodied with some sweetness and a hint of acidity, this Pinot is balanced and smooth and will please fans of aromatic white wines.

If you're serving spicy and flavourful food, this wine won't disappoint.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
