|Malcolm Lamont WSET Adv rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:|
Very nice aromatics, with vanilla, clove, and toffee coming from the oak's influence. Unfortunately it was not as nice on the palate with not much fruit to balance the oak, acidity and tannin. Overall, a weak 88.
|This inexpensive red is a serious wine from the folks at Castello Banfi, a top producer of Brunello di Montalcino. Centine Rosso is a blend of sangiovese, cabernet sauvignon and merlot. If you are truly looking for value in red wine, this one’s hard to beat. Score: Best of Show Red Wine Source: Robert Whitely, whitleyonwine.com|
