Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This is a full-bodied red blend that comes to us from Paarl South Africa. Herbal and savoury with grainy tannins and a lift of menthol. Certified organic. Perfect pairing for game meats. There's enough cleansing acidity to cut through a greasy roasted duck. Drink now.
Tasted: May 2016
The ducks are the guardians of the vines at this winery. Each day they patrol the rows keeping snails under control. Avondale's motto is soil is life. This winery farms organically. The grapes for this wine are grown organically, and the blend of specific varietals is not noted. - Community Wine Reviews
