Vintages Wine Panel: Founded by Eduardo Chadwick, of Seña fame, Arboleda is dedicated to sustainable viticultural practices and preserving the natural environment of the Aconcagua Valley. This full-bodied Merlot is brimming with ripe blackberry, plum and wood-spice notes. Delicious and mouth-filling with a distinct purity to the fruit flavours. My note: A mocha-rich red with generous layers of black plums, blackberries and other dark fruit. Round and supple with a finish that rolls on to the end of the evening. Full-bodied.

Merlot food pairings: polenta with sausage, baked meatballs with tomato and oregano, winter lamb ragout.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
