Darlene Myers CAPS Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

New Zealand is putting out some first class Pinot Noir wines and this is another example of a great wine at a great price. This is a soft but flavorful medium-bodied wine with those luscious and earthy raspberry flavors. Pinot Noir is one your more food friendly wines and I love it with just about any meal. Ara is a 100% certified sustainable vineyard and I liked that.
This wine won of Gold Medals at both the Mundus Vini International and New World Wine Awards in 2012. - Winery

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
