Vintages Wine Panel: Superstar winemaker Alvaro Palacios and his wines were the driving force behind the elevation of Priorat to DOCa status, a status it shares with only one other region in Spain- Rioja. My note: Excellent balance with ripe raspberries. A blend of 60% carignan, 30% grenache, and 10% cabernet sauvignon.

Reviews and Ratings

Corinna Horton rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

This wine's a bloody superstar. It competes with vintages valued at three times the price. It gives and gives. Bright yet balanced, i could date this wine... have long conversations with it. I also like its sassy cousin, the Camins del Priorat, 2008. marvelous winemaker, gorgeous grape.
Gabriel Israel rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

91-92; this is what Priorat is all about. From the great 2004 vintage, a full body, massive yet elegant wine. Prunes compot. Carmel. Round tannins. Hints of mint and vanilla on the finish. Can continue and evolve in the next 5-10 tears. Decant for 2-3 hours. Tasted March/13
