More Wine Reviews and Ratings

rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

I feel like I should be called Sherlock Holmes! I'm on such a roll at unearthing and discovering under $20 finds...and good ones...ones worthy of being raved over. Here is yet another Portuguese red wine, I went back and bought more!!

The colour in the glass is a rich dark berry colour.

On the nose there are rich notes of cherry jam, black currant, blueberries. Floral notes of violets and vanilla oak undertones.

On the palate, yum, yum, yum! Full mouth of black cherries, plums, fig compote and black currants.
Licorice notes and mocha  present themselves as a crescendo and then as the wine mellows out gentle tones of vanilla and oak. Mild spice of pepper and great tannins complete the delivery of this delicious wine. I give it a 93.

Bottoms up!

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
