A fabulous find from Alta Vista's Premium series! Full-bodied, buttery Chardonnay a bargain price. Lovely richness and satisfaction in this Argentine white wine. Yay! This full-bodied white wine is made from grapes grown at high altitudes. Pair with lobster in melted butter.

Chardonnay food pairings: lobster in butter sauce, beef bourguignon, breads, cheese, poultry.

Reviews and Ratings

Martha Kelly AIWS - CS rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Reserved flavours of lemon-lime, sweet spices, fresh green grass, and minerality blend to make this a refreshing wine with a round mouth-feel.
Pair with lobster, and creamy pasta dishes.
Drink now or keep until 2017.
Date tasted: October 2014.
Grapes are grown in the Luján De Cuyo, La Casa Del Rey regions of Argentina for this robust Chardonnay. The 2013 vintage of Alta Vista Premium Chardonnay grows in the winery's Vista Flores Vineyard in Uco Valley. Just 30% of the wine is fermented in oak barrels and undergoes malolactic fermentation while the remainder is fermented in inox. The wine matured on its lees for 6 months. - Community Wine Reviews
