Alamos Catena Chardonnay 2008
Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 5, February 26, September 11 and July 26.
Alamos Catena Chardonnay 2008 Wine Review
A beautiful expressive of green apples, peach, brioche and butterscotch. Great natural acidity with some tropical fruit notes tucked in (melon, pineapple). The first harvest of the grapes for this wine is for acidity, later grapes are picked for ripeness and more complexity. This wine was aged in French oak for 5 months. An amazing wine for the price. 4.4/5
