Top Shiraz Wine

My wine reviews include Shiraz wines with high scores for their superb quality and taste, and their prices often reflect this as they tend to be more expensive. These Shiraz wines achieve a score of 90 points or higher out of 100 and are often the wines that have the greatest aging ability and are therefore great Shiraz wines for your cellar. They are also often the top ranked wines on many lists, especially in fine restaurants, with ratings that reflect their craftsmanship. You'll also find my reviews of Shiraz wines that are less expensive, but still represent great value. Beckett's Flat Margaret River Shiraz 2005
Margaret River, Western Australia, Australia
Vintages Wine Panel: With six years under its belt, this wine is drinking beautifully. Opaque ruby, just starting to tend towards garnet in the glass. Deep, rich, spicy nose of raspberry, blackberry, licorice, mocha, black cherry, cola, and white pepper. Full bodied, mouth-filling, and still quite fruity and vibrant with plenty of spice on the finish. This will be a joy to savour over the next 5 years. My note: Savoury, lip-smacking delicious with mouth-watering aromas and flavours of wild blackberries, cedar and a touch of dark spice on the finish. Shiraz food pairings: thick-cut steaks, grilled chicken thighs in a black-bean sauce. Alcohol: 13.5%  Sweetness: Extra Dry  750 ml  Drink: 2011‐2016  Price: $21.95 Score: 90/100
