Kir Royal

Kir is a traditional French aperitif that combines the sweet syrup of currants with dry white wine. This kir is “royal” since it uses champagne. If you can’t find the crème de cassis, any sweet raspberry flavor liquid will work nicely.

Serves 4

Level of difficulty: easy

Ingredients

2 ounces of Crème de Cassis, raspberry or black currant liquor
1 bottle of dry champagne or Cava

Instructions

Pour 1/2 ounce of the Crème de Cassis or liquor into 4 champagne glasses. Top with champagne. Enjoy the bubbles as they tickle your nose.
