Goat Chili

1-2 med onions
1 green pepper
1 – 1.5 lbs ground goat
Chili powder
28 oz can crushed tomatoes
14 oz can chopped tomatoes, drained
3-5 garlic cloves
Salt and Pepper to taste

Chop the onion, saute in dutch oven or large pot, add chopped green pepper and cook until soft. Add the ground goat and brown the meat. Add chili powder : this is a personal preference, anywhere from 2 tablespoons to 1/8 cup. Add both cans of tomatoes. Grate garlic on microplane grater (or chop), add to pot and simmer at low heat for at least 2 hours, more time is better.

Serve in a bowl with sour cream, chopped spring onions and grated sharp cheese.
