Wynns Coonawarra Estate Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon 2010, Coonawarra, South Australia, Australia: Luscious and rich with cassis, fleshy blackberry and blackcurrant. Absolutely classic with a long finish. Tremendous quality for the price. There's some seductive anise and dark spice on the long finish. The bold wine has longevity, not only for this vintage in your cellar, but also this particular wine has been made now for 54 years. It's matured in French oak and the grapes are selected from Wynns' top vineyards. Liquid velvet. Drink: 2013-2017. 84996 14% XD 750 mL  $47.95 Score: 95/100. October 12, 2013 Top Rated Red Wine. Spectacular Spicy Wine Full Review
The Hedonist Walter Clappis Wine Co. Shiraz 2010, Mclaren Vale, South Australia, Australia: A towering, blockbuster red wine from Down Under! Superb intensity and concentration of flavour. Savory, meaty and juicy with luscious layers of black fruit. This is a big-boned wine, yet balanced. Love the replays of fleshy blackberries and plums across the palate. Mouth-watering and perfect for ribeye steak. Bring it on. Drink: 2013-2018. 90191 14% XD 750 mL  $23.95 Score: 93/100. July 5, 2014 Top Rated Red Wine. Spectacular Spicy Wine Full Review
Wynns Coonawarra Estate The Gables Cabernet Shiraz 2011, Coonawarra, Australia: Mature aromas of leather, dark spice, cigar and dried earth on this full-bodied, smooth Australian red wine blend of Cabernet and Shiraz grapes. Pair with a juicy steak. Drink: 2013-2018. 9300620000208 13.50% XD 750 mL  $19.95 Score: 90/100. February 1, 2015 Best Beef Wine Full Review
Domaine De La Presidente Nonciature 2007, A.C., Châteauneuf Du Pape, Rhône, France: A mellow, but full-bodied Châteauneuf that has aged beautifully. I like the more subtle dark fruit and dried herb and smoke aromas coming out of the glass versus full-on red and black fruit of youth. Drink: 2011-2018. 237339 14.50% XD 750 mL  $44.95 Score: 90/100. July 23, 2011 Full Review
Alpha Estate Red 2008, Florina P.G.I., Greece: This big-bones Greek red wine offers plenty of drinking pleasure. The Alphas Estate is the winery's flagship wine and the blend of red grapes comes from the estate's best vineyards that are mostly alluvium, sandy, clay soils with excellent drainage and a semi-continental climate which results in deep concentration and depth in the wine. The French oak barrels for aging were of medium toast and fine grain. This wine was unfiltered and has all the good stuffing left in it. Drink: 2015-2020. 92361 14.50% D 750 mL  $31.95 Score: 91/100. August 2, 2014 Best Beef Wine Full Review
Tenuta Sette Ponti Crognolo 2011, Tuscany I.G.T., Italy: A rustic, robust Italian red wine with tart, charred black fruit and lots of oak and acidity. Pair with tomato sauce and pasta. Drink: 2013-2017. 727636 14.50% XD 750 mL  $34.95 Score: 87/100. November 22, 2014 Perfect Pasta and Tomato Sauce Wine Full Review
Pinotage - Diemersfontein 2003, South Africa, South Africa  14%  750 mL  $24.99. March 1, 2012 Full Review
Seghesio Sonoma Zinfandel 2010, Sonoma County, California, United States: Blackberry liqueur and fleshy ripe purple and black plums. Incredible richness and depth from a master. Drink: 2012-2016. 942151 14.80% D 750 mL  $29.95 Score: 93/100. November 10, 2012 Top Rated Red Wine. Full Review
Belle Glos Dairyman Vineyard Pinot Noir 2012, Russian River Valley, Sonoma County, California, United States: Full-on chocolate, mocha and espresso aromas on the nose almost over-power the cherry fruit underneath. Liquid fudge. Generous oak aging adds richness and those dark chocolate flavours. Supple and smooth. I prefer other Pinots from this winery, but to each his own taste-wise. Drink: 2013-2018. 366013 14% XD 750 mL  $59.95 Score: 88/100. March 15, 2014 Charming Grilled Chicken Wine Full Review
