Tawse Winery Inc. Growers Blend Pinot Noir 2012, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: A mocha-rich, medium-bodied, smooth Niagara red wine made from the classic Pinot Noir grape. Lots of ripe fruit on this vintage. Sweet black plum aromas on the nose with dark chocolate and cedar spice. Fleshy ripe cherry aromas and flavours on the palate of this mouth-watering Pinot Noir. Rotllán Torra 2011, Priorat D.O.C.A., Spain: This Spanish Crianza is savoury and juicy with great complexity and depth. Smooth and full-bodied with lusciously ripe and fleshy dark berries. If you haven't tried many wines from the Priorat region of Spain, this is a great place to start. This wine needs no coaxing out of the glass. Decant for 1-2 hours. This full-bodied red wine pairs well with steak. The 2011 vintage of this full-bodied Spanish red wine is a blend of 35% Garnacha, 35% Mazuelo and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. This wine is matured for 12 months in American fine grain oak barrels from Tennessee and spends a minimum of another year in bottle before being released from the winery. Miraval Rosé 2016, Côtes De Provence, Provence A.C., France: This is the magnum size of the popular rose, equivalent to two regular 750 ml bottles. Originally owned by Bradd Pitt and Angelina Jolie, I'm not sure if either one took custody of the winery or if they sold it. Regardless, the wine is still made by the Perrin family.
