Red Wine

Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars Pinot Noir 2012, Okanagan Valley, BC V.Q.A., Canada: I have a confession to make: I didn't just taste this wine, I tortured it. After an initial knock-your-socks off impression, I thought: hmm, too easy. Let's leave it overnight opened and uncorked. (Do not try this at home.) Tasted it the next day, and there it was again: beautiful silk cherry aromas and flavours, mouth-filling texture, subtlety and ever-changing expressions. Did that satisfy me? No, of course not. One more night open though with cork in. Day three: I admit defeat. What a wine. Drink: 2020 - 2021 329466 13.5% XD 750 mL $29.95 Score: 94/100. February 2014. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart

Kittling Ridge Baco Noir 2012, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: A juicy, medium-bodied smooth wine with aromas of purple and black plums, blueberry pie and blackberry. Drink: 2013 - 2015 373613 13.2% XD 750 mL $16.95 Score: 87/100. February 2014. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart

White Wine

Kittling Ridge Chardonnay 2012, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: A full-bodied, smoky chardonnay with toasty oak and vanilla smoke aromas. Some pleasing Asian pear and yellow apple flavours on the palate. Try this with roast chicken. Drink: 2013 - 2015 367862 13% XD 750 mL $16.95 Score: 87/100. February 2014. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart

Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars Pinot Gris 2012, Okanagan Valley, BC V.Q.A., Canada: Flavourful and viscous: this is no boring-beige Pinot Gris! Mouth-filling texture is what comes across most in this gorgeous white wine. The Pinot Gris is 60% fermented and aged in stainless steel, and the remaining 40% fermented and aged in two and three year old French oak barrels for 6 months. What a deft touch that wraps this package in richness. Drink: 2017 - 2020 329458 13.5% XD 750 mL $24.95 Score: 91/100. February 2014. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart

Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars Sauvignon Blanc 2012, Okanagan Valley, BC V.Q.A., Canada: My kind of Sauvignon Blanc! More citrus and melon, less herbal and grassy. This is surprising viscous and mouth-filling for Sauvignon Blanc, due in part to the fact that 40% of the wine was fermented and aged in two to four year old French oak barrels for six months ... and due in part to brilliant winemaking. Drink: 2016 - 2018 132571 12% XD 750 mL $24.95 Score: 93/100. February 2014. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart

Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars Pinot Blanc 2012, Okanagan Valley, BC V.Q.A., Canada: This estate bottle Pinot Blanc is crips, clean and refreshing with lovely notes of lime and white melon. Perfect for fresh seafood and salads, or a sunny afternoon on the deck. Drink: 2018 - 2020 329441 13.5% 750 mL $17.90 Score: 88/100. February 2014. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart

Keint-he Winery and Vineyards Voyageur Chardonnay 2012, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: Notes of white melon and green apple with some smoke. Mouth-watering acidity and a fresh finish. Drink: 2013 - 2015 389544 13% XD 750 mL $16.00 Score: 86/100. February 2014. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart

Keint-he Winery and Vineyards Fox Croft Chardonnay 2012, Twenty Mile Bench, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: A rich, viscous, mouth-coating Chardonnay with generous aromas and flavours of green apple, butterscotch and vanilla smoke. Good acidity with tropical fruit notes on the finish. Real potential here for future vintages. Drink: 2013 - 2016 851727000046 13.5% D 750 mL $28.00 Score: 88/100. February 2014. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart
