Marqués de Cáceres Antea 2009, D.O.C.A., Rioja, Spain: Vintages Wine Panel: Lively aromas of pineapple, citrus, fresh herbs, citrus and a pleasing leesy note. Dry and fairly fruity with a good structure provided by fresh acidity. Enjoy this fresh wine with steamed mussels or clams; in fact, you could use a splash of wine in cooking the food, and enjoy the rest with the meal. My note: A tasty white that’s like Chardonnay without too much oak. Aromas of green and peach with a kiss of vanilla smoke. Food pairings: mussels, clams, paella.
