This wine is something I'll remember for a while. First of all, I got to try it in Napa at the Winery early this month. Due to the challenges of flying across a continent, we only brought a half bottle of this particular wine home, so we were so happy to see it in Vintages recently! It took us right back to memories of our lovely trip and the great people we met. If you read about this wine, you'll see it says it displays the true character of California Cabernet, and while I can't say I've tried enough to say definitively, I do think this is a bold and full bodied wine that has a beautiful deep berry and cassis aroma. it is very smooth and easy drinking however, full enough to stand up to red meat and has the potential to age for at least a few years. This is not really a "cottage" wine ,but we were eager to share it with family at the cottage and it got rave reviews. We had marinated flank steak with potatoes and salad and it was a wonderful meal.
If I see this in Vintages again, I would absolutely buy it, as well, if I'm lucky enough to go back to Napa I would visit this lovely winery again.
