Julia Kelada rated this wine as 96/100 with the following review:

This wine is truly a delicious surprise. Flavours and nuances I wasn't expecting. The price of $24 is a perfect price point for this wine, I was rather scared when I saw 12.5 %, I thought that this was going to be a wishy washy wine, but on the contrary!

On the nose sweet red cherries, strawberries, red currants. Infact the smell of this wie is like being served with a delicious red berry pie! There are floral notes of lavender on he finish.

On the palate...wow! That first mouthful takes you a little by surprise. It has the tones of Porto but without the syrupy ness !
There are slight cherries that release Ito stewed currants, cooked pumps, sweet fresh figs, elderberries, sweet apple blossom, then undertones of cedar which open up into a well aged leather notes and mild spice. Balsamic tones wrap up this delicious wie with decent lengthy tannins .

A versatile wine, perfect to drink just like that or accompanying any fine dining meal. I would love it with lamb personally or any dish with rich accompanying sauces. I give this wine a 96.
Bottoms up!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
