In the military I became accustomed to having port at Military dinners. It was a real pleasure when we recently hosted Anthony Graham of Churchill/Graham wines to do a port tasting at our home for friends!
This particular blend was simply awesome! This port was made from a blend of younger fruit driven wines
to older, richer wines that have been aged in oak. The average age of the final product is a minimum of 10 years old!
The nose was warm, full, spicy and it was smooth and sweet with hints of orange peel and nuts.
This went very well with the nuts and cheeses we had (yes, and we had some chocolate that went very well also!)
