A bonus living in the "county" ... we jump in the car and go for a tasting any day we want!
We tasted this gem yesterday. It was aged 14 months in oak barrels "Sur Lie" which adds a toasty, slightly nutty quality and creaminess to the palate (although not overly oaky as found in a lot of Chardonnay's). There were vanilla and banana notes on the nose and it was very well balanced between the acid and the fruit. And the lingering finish was just delightful.
