People are starting to realize that "dessert wines" are not just for dessert. They make a great aperitif, they blend nicely into cocktails and they are delicious to cook with. Chef Suman Roy has a spectacular recipe for roasted rabbit using Pomme d'Or. It was featured in one of his cook books along with my cook book & blog "Cooking With Sin."
Tip - if you find dessert wines too sweet try using the new dessert wine glasses. They are designed to guide the wine to the back of your tongue and the broader palate of flavour. Avoid using glasses with wide rims as they keep the wine at the front, sweet tip of your tongue.
