Score: 87/100

Tasting Note: A smooth, medium-bodied wine with attractive plum and berry notes. This red wine is a blend of Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo grapes, each of which contribute different flavours and complexity to the wine: Dolcetto offers ripe fruit, Barbera brings balancing acidity for food and Nebbiolo imparts tannin for structure. Enjoy with a prime rib.

More pairings: gourmet sausages, meat-based pasta dishes, barbecued chicken, rare roast beef , beef braised in barolo, gorgonzola, mushrooms: truffles, pasta with cream-based sauce, pizza: Italian-style, risotto with mushrooms, stew: beef. More pairings

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
