Tasting Note: Vintages Wine Panel: An exceptional cellar candidate at a very good price. Aromas suggest cedar, sandalwood, raspberry, cassis, woodsmoke and fire-roasted tomato. Dry with very elegant fruit wrapped inside firm but fine tannins and bright acidity. This wine has very good style and structure. Medium full-bodied with a long, refined finish. Cellar 5+ years. My note: Classic, beautifully-structured Bordeaux with a lovely smoky, toasty nose that curls itself around cassis and blackberry notes of the cabernet blend. This one will do well in the cellar if you can wait. It's the second wine of Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste.
