Hailing from the great city of Toronto, I fell out of love with Finance and in love with wine.

I quit my job, packed my bags, and headed to Bordeaux, France, to get my MBA in Luxury Brand Strategy with a specialization in wine. Currently residing in a little apartment above a negociant in the old wine quarter in Bordeaux proper, I am in charge of developing the Hong Kong market for one of the largest Bordeaux based wine merchants in the world.

It may have been my upbringing being surrounded by chefs and good food, or my fortunate position to have visited some of the best wine making regions around the world way before I was legally allowed to drink the stuff. Really though when it comes down to it, wine I equate with the celebration of life.

I drink wine at work, I drink wine after work. Pretty much I am always drinking wine, and I love it!

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable: A Tipsy Search

  Best Books of the Year

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
