Glenda

Most memorable wine?
Yarra Valley Yering Dry Red No 1 1990

What was your first wine?
Old Brown Sherry

What’s your most unusual wine experience?
A good friend who is a bit like a nutty professor set up a winery in his home and began producing. However, he believed that he could not assess his wines so he invited my partner and I around to help with blending. We saved a batch of Merlot which would have been poured down the drain by selectively blending it with Cabernet Franc.

Which wine do you love at the moment?
Flagstone Dragon Tree 2008

My intrigue with wine began after watching the movie "Sideways" shallow though that may sound. I wanted to know more and completed courses with the Cape Wine Academy and the University of Stellenbosch. Wine offers a fantastic world of discovery and the most fun I can have is sharing a good couple of bottles with like-minded friends.
