Most memorable wine?
1845 Cossart Gordon Vintage Porto. It was crazy trying to imagine what life was like for the vintners of this incredible Porto.

What was your first wine?
My first ahh! moment for wine was a 1998 Chateau Lafite Rothschild Paulliac back in 2001, when we bought our first home.

What’s your most unusual wine experience?
Having lunch in 2010 at Chateau Bonnet with André Lurton at his family's dining table in Entre-Deux-Mers, Bordeaux.

Which wine do you love at the moment?
I'm loving cool climate Syrah right now, particularly from the outer Sonoma Coast. The peppery and secondary aromas and flavors are so savory!

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
